To ensure a manageable and consistent adoption process, the following procedure will apply for all canine adoptions.Įvery dog at the York County SPCA is a wonderful pet that deserves a loving, permanent home. It does not apply to cats, rabbits, or other adoptable species. This policy applies to members of the public and volunteers.
The purpose of this policy is to standardize the canine adoption process to ensure fair and equal access to all York County SPCA dogs. We are open for adoption appointments every day of the week from 9 a.m. All services, including adoption, are completed by appointment only. We are open for public browsing hours Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday 10 a.m. If you are unable to complete the form online, please call 71 so a time can be scheduled for you to complete the application at the shelter. Application approval takes approximately 3-4 business days. Once an adoption application is approved, a meet (adoption appointment) will be scheduled between that pet and the potential adopter.
